Octopus Reacts to Male and Female Octopus - Striking Scenes

Although it is a well-known fact that most octopus species are not social creatures, it is always fascinating watching them interact with one another.
We set up the observation tank with a see-through plastic divider in the middle that allowed some physical contact to take place through the safety of a small hole in the middle.
We chose Rudy for this experiment as he is always friendly (at least with us) and ready to take on any challenge. We allowed Rudy to interact with Roxanne (a female) and Pete (a male) for a short time during the course of three consecutive days.
It was very interesting to see if there was some kind of behavioral pattern describing each encounter and to watch their relationship develop through time.
We hope you will find their reactions as interesting as we did.

Sofia Rezende octopuses can control and change color because they have different colored cells. When they relax their muscles or stretch them, the cells get bigger or smaller, causing the color change

It also gets your mind working around how we can do better than what's currently out there. I don't believe letting tigers who've been "rescued" live their lives out in the cages of nonprofit "sanctuaries" is the best or most we can do and have since watching the show have discovered that there's a place in Russia who's doing a much better job with their bears by giving them acres of open terrain to roam and play free. Now when I do get the money, I know who deserves it and I also know to stop following these tiger sanctuaries on social media that aren't treating their tigers right.
