Recipe for up to 500gm weigh octopus.
Clean and chop the head off ( can also be added, for video purpose I have removed it)
boil the 0ctopus meat in water , ensure the meat is full sink into it. cook for 3 minutes, dont leave too long , as long as you cook the meat can become rubbery.
after that move it to a vessel and pat dry all the water content from the meat.
Now add about 4 teaspoon of oil to the pan and fry the octopus. Once both sides turn to golden brown, move to another plate.
Now add 4 fair sized finely chopped garlic and a finger sized ginger to the left over oil in the pan, followed by chopped carrots (half equivalent standard ice cream bowl) , chopped medium sized onion, 2 table spoon soy sauce, chopped capsicum(bell pepper) and mix well. Then add a tea spoon of salt and pepper and mix well, stir fry for about one minute.
Then the 2 table spoon tomato sauce , chopped 2 green chillies (add more if you like it hot) , one table spoon of sugar and finally a table spoon of rice wine vinegar. mix all the ingredients well.
Finally about 20ml of water and slightly boil it for another one minute.
Add the fried octopus next into the gravy (fully immersed) and cover and boil for another 1-2 minues.
that's it, octopus is ready to eat. serve it to a dish along with some sauce and enjoy !!
