@@Art_of Maybe they just like other sports more? I also don't see people with disabilities, transgender, people with Polynesian or Mongolian background and many others. But I'm sure, if they would like to take part in the class they would be welcomed. Don't make anything a race thing.

I started dancing when I was four, but I didn't like it so I stopped after 5th grade... I'm in 10th now and I haven't danced since... is it too late to start again? Like if I had to start, should I do it as a beginner or intermediate (where I left off) any advice would do. Thanks.
@Kelli3306 жыл бұрын
Fung Tricia Go for it!! I know several professional dancers that started late and they’re amazing...start with beginning ballet and go from there. The basics are ESSENTIAL!!! Good luck 😊🤩😁

Fung Tricia I’m doing intermediate ballet and I started dancing with I was 5 years old. If you stopped after the fifth grade, you still have muscle memory from your previous dance training.

to all those not happy about the face-shots = you tell more of the story by showing face, I love some of the facial expressions, it gives it more meaning,tell a more complete story (peoples brains are wired to want to read peoples faces - it's part of our evolutionary survival mechanism)

Well, the dancers know the steps but does the choreography go with the music? Also, I know it's a class but why have everyone dancing the same thing? Have them get into small groups and showcase each other with improvised movement. Like in hip hop, one dancer will take the center, then another. That always gets my attention.

I'm desperately sorry, but that ain't Jazz *Dance,* that's merely *ground acrobatics.* Much to much acrobatics, and much too little dancing. Don't you know the good, old proverb: *_" First of all, dancing are movements of the feet"_* Regards, Étienne Alaman, inter alia keyboardist & choreographer

And btw the more experienced ppl will judge but its mostly constructive or they keep it to themselves
@Czadzikable5 жыл бұрын
Don't be scared! Join an adult class! There are some classes specifically for beginners and some for mixed skill where you will find a mixture of complete beginners of all ages (adult), medium skill amateur hobbyists and some retired professionals. It's quite fun to be able to watch those more experienced in the same class - they will *not* judge you though! They're there to dance, not to judge or compete - everyone is there because they want to dance - and so no matter what ability level they're at, they will be happy that other people want to dance too (otherwise there'll be no classes!) and they will be encouraging and supportive to anyone just starting out or wanting to improve. And generally the culture of dance classes is so, that dancers don't comment on each other - other than mutual encouragement. Only the dance teacher will give instructions and constructive criticism - and the dance teacher will never make any personal or mean comments - they will try to help you to do exercises /movements more correctly and just tell you things like: "here the leg goes like this: ___", "Good.", "Point your toes.", "Straighten the supporting leg.", "Yes, that's better.", "Keep your left arm like this during this movement." [they might physically help you put it in the right position /angle], "Straighten your back like this [they will use their palms on your back gently to help you achieve the right posture], "On 7-8 look along your right arm." - etc. - Dance class is full of technical corrections and explanations like this from the dance teacher to individuals or to the whole class - it's not personal and no one will judge you on receiving corrections - everyone is focusing on listening to the teacher's comments /reminders and improving themselves - and everyone will value receiving personal corrections from the teacher, as it means you can improve more! 😁 I see now your comment is from a year ago... Did you go to dance classes? If you haven't yet, start this September!
@samevans12895 жыл бұрын
@@Czadzikable Just wanted to let you know your encouragement doesn't go unappreciated. :) Thanks! Unfortunately, all the dance classes that I'm interested in around me are for kids. Only ballroom dancing for adults around here. :')

Музыка сама по себе, танец сам по себе. Движения должны плыть вместе с музыкой, танец - это песня движений. А здесь попытка засунуть в такт как можно больше, совершенно не следуя гармонии

Why do I feel like a lot of them are a bit tense or dont move so fluid and natural? I am not a dancer and I don't know if this is how it is, but to me feels so like that. The arms are very tense in a lot of the girls in my opinion, and the legs dont look that flexible

If anyone is looking for x100 alt it is definitely mHLX. While most of people stacked with ETH 2.0, TON and other buzz stuff - Helix is making real deals. It is IOTA 2.0. Both in terms of tech and future hype. But IOTA aims to be a one-stop-shop ecosystem, like Yahoo. At Helix they build a lightweight glue layer to connect legacy enterprise systems (SAP) and oracles/smart contract platforms like Chainlink, Ethereum, Hyperledger. More like Google compared to Yahoo, so to speak. It is a truly hidden gem that will eventually melt faces when it starts growing!

Two things have hurt the knowledge base of the dance community. First was AIDS, the second was age. The true teachers of great jazz dance technique have died or are no longer teaching. Jaime Rodgers, Claude Thompson, and Hama. This group of dancers are lacking what these three renowned dancer instructor could instill in their technique. I know these dancers feel good about what they did here, but it’s not up to the standards of these men. They’re not truly connect to their core or the music. Continue working.
