Katedra Notre-Dame w Paryżu to jedna z najsłynniejszych budowli sakralnych na świecie. Co roku odwiedza ją około 12 milionów turystów. Od pożaru w 2019 roku trwają szeroko zakrojone prace konserwatorskie, restauratorskie i rekonstrukcyjne, a katedra pozostaje zamknięta.
W 2023 roku zostaliśmy zaproszeni do wzięcia udziału w tym rozległym projekcie konserwatorskim przez firmy Atelier Tollis oraz Atelier Jean-Loup Bouvier, które realizowały prace z ramienia instytucji publicznej odpowiedzialnej za konserwację i restaurację katedry Notre-Dame w Paryżu - Rebâtir Notre-Dame de Paris
Naszym zadaniem było głównie laserowe oczyszczenie fragmentów detalu architektonicznego, który był pokryty sadzą i zanieczyszczonym pyłem z pożaru zawierającym ołów.
Ablacja laserowa okazała się nie tylko skuteczna, ale i bezpieczna w kontekście zagrożeń związanych z obecnością toksycznych związków na czyszczonych elementach.
Dzięki systemowi odsysania zintegrowanemu z głowicą lasera udało nam się pochłonąć usuwane cząsteczki, zapobiegając w ten sposób rozprzestrzenianiu się szkodliwego pyłu w powietrzu.
Praca przy odbudowie katedry Notre Dame była dla nas ogromnym zaszczytem, ​​ale przede wszystkim niezwykle cennym zestawem doświadczeń i wyjątkowo ciekawym zadaniem do wykonania.

Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris is one of the most famous religious buildings in the world. It is visited by approximately 12 million tourists every year. Since the fire in 2019, the cathedral has remained closed to this day, and extensive conservation, restoration and reconstruction works are ongoing.
In 2023, we were invited to take part in this extensive conservation project by Atelier Tollis and Atelier Jean-Loup Bouvier on behalf of the Public Establishment in charge of the conservation and restoration of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris - Rebâtir Notre-Dame de Paris.
Our task was mainly to laser clean the part of the architectural detail that was covered with soot and contaminated dust.
Laser ablation turned out to be not only effective, but also safe in the context of threats related to the presence of lead on the cleaned elements.
Thanks to the extraction system integrated with the laser head, we were able to absorb all the removed particles, thus preventing the spread of toxic dust in the air.
Working on the reconstruction of Notre Dame Cathedral was a great honor for us, but above all, it was an exceptionally valuable set of experiences and an extremely interesting task to carry out.
