Why can't we just use filters to interact with the dashboard instead of creating another app?

For normal applications with few million records it is absolutely fine to go with normal filters, but ODAG is used to create a subset of application where we deal with huge volume of dataset.

@@DatAIntellinalytics I worked with huge millions of records before and opening the app itself was a nightmare, the only thing that helped me is to filter out in the script load. I hope you get my point

When you filter out the content in script it will be static whereas ODAG gives the ability of dynamic filtering with no hardcoded value in script.

Yes you can, under ADD NEW there is an IMPORT section where you can upload qvf.
