I run a similar list like trumps opponent. Aggro odd mage, secrete package + elementals and Azalina, Flamestrike,F. Jaina as enders. Azalina is hugely underestimated i won a fair number of matches by stealing quest warrior weapon or becoming DK Warlock when low on cards.

This drives me fucking crazy too. Constructed meta (in MANY games) is just so damn constrained that even smart people are completely railroaded in their thinking, because it's so rare someone might deviate. Trump is sitting there going "there CAN'T be burn because the ones I always see aren't allowed!" I mean jesus Trump go to a DB site if you have to remember what spells deal damage that you don't see every 3 games, but the guy is pretty transparent he's going straight for your face. To be fair there's not a ton he could've done, maybe try to push through the Tar Creeper earlier...

Trump wasn't considering those burst cards not because it's unusual or not from a net-deck, but because it's freaking stupid to put those cards in your deck. It is an unreliable, unefficient source of burst. The chances his opponent didn't know what he was doing were higher than him running those cards. Hell, the chances his opponent was baiting him into playing safe were higher as well. Trump didn't consider this because it's so bad it's highly improbable it happens

Your conclusions are well understood, but you're not listening to what Trump is SAYING. Yes, it may be stupid, inefficient, and unreliable for the deck to be built that way, we get that. And yet the guy had clearly built it that way, and in this situation that build was capable of killing Trump. Trump needed to recognize that as soon as possible, yet he took longer than he should have to acknowledge it. Again, the key to me that indicates what a railroaded mindset he's using is that even when Trump is considering about burn, he's listing cards that CAN'T be in the deck rather than those that CAN. Can't get out of that box even when his instincts tell him he needs to.

people usally use top tier decks like cubelock. and then once they are legend rank they just start trying out random decks they don't know how to use and meme decks etc. so bad plays happen a lot in legend.

Pretty much what Michael said - If you had Cubelock on Day 1-2 you didn't even need to buy any Witchwood packs, just the Pre-Witchwood Meta Cubelock destroyed both Shaman meme decks and Aggro Paladin, which were basically the only relevant things being run those days. That let a lot of people get to legend where they could then bust their Witchwood packs and meme it up from there.
