He was also literally the only reason the Americans had a chance to begin with. Kruger, Dylan and Bobby were like the other good players while Japan had a solid line-up. Like, why did they use Rolling Thunder that much? They were only exposing themselves. Get another point, then keep the ball and you got it. Also, it seems that the only info the Americans had was basically based off of Erik’s experience playing with some of their rivals. The moment Caleb got in the field he ruined Erik’s plan - don’t the Americans have eyes to see that Shawn freed himself? OMG they were stupid

I really don't understand one thing on the og Inazuma. Why tf Mark uses this useless barrier for most of the time of the World Tournament? Literally someone broke through it on every episode, excluding the debut of it. Hammer of Wrath and Fist of Justice for me is way better of his techniques than this shit

It's stronger than both Hammer of Wrath and Fist of justice. Its just inazuma eleven logic that whenever someone makes a new move its gonna be useless in a few episodes time. Although I do agree that hammer of Wrath should have definitely been used more, arguably his most underutilised

In the power scale, Ijigen the Hand is stronger than Mark’s previous techniques, so it makes sense he would use this one until he evolved it or developed something else. Same thing happened with God Hand during the Football Frontier in season 1. Royal Academy broke through it on the qualifiers and then Mark conceded several goals on the main tournament until Majin the Hand was completed. Hammer of Wrath was very underutilized true, but in the grand scheme of things I doubt it would’ve made a difference. Shooting techniques in Inazuma are the strongest, and in FFI the forwards are in another level. Like, Paolo, Robingo, the American trio to an extent and Nakata (how convenient🙄) are stupidly powerful. Things might have worked out differently if Darren had been used against Unicorn. His new technique is stronger and it would have stopped Erik’s and proved a headache for the Americans (even though it would’ve done nothing against the other two shoots) which very likely would’ve forced them to use Rolling Thunder earlier and risk a higher score for Japan after they trump all their cards. But for plot convenience they went the route we all know.
