lol yea this is a thing now i had this happen to me like 50% of my shots through the wall IDK why no one complained about it now its so prominent EDIT: this does not only apply to walls but almost any destructible object (bush, trees, haystacks, etc.) which causes APFSDS to act like HE or HEAT, it doesnt even hit the target even if the target is directly next to it, the dart just vanish

Hey Odd. A quick explanation on why your KA wasn’t firing its atgm. You need to line up your crosshair INSIDE the “laser basket” (the bigger green boxleft of your crosshairs shown) 21:20 then you can unrail a missile. Hope this helps

God, I was playing this thing stock yesterday. The Russians really don't have to even try at top tier anymore. Just a sea of T-80 variants. Knock one down, chances are the person has more to respawn in. Between the T-72, T-80s, T-90, Kamovs, Su-27s, and the big Chunguska, it's like playing a PVE mode. And if you put the Mi-28NM on the lineup too? With half Vikhrs and half Khrizantema missiles? Everything dies.

Y'all just love to complain about something. There are definitely some countries that lack vehicles at top tier (italy primarily) but most can put together a decent lineup. What, do you need 10 vehicles a game? I have the full russia top tier and the number of times I've taken out 4 or more vehicles in a match is super low, the games are decided much quicker.

The Russian vehicles are on average better suited for War Thunder's gameplay, especially with Gaijin's terrible map design for high tiers. And there's more of them to choose from. Several of them now have been free event vehicles like the Moderna and this new monster. So top tier Russia is also more accessible. There's a reason tons of people know it as the training wheels nation.

More over, the PUMA is a tech tree vehicle and it's stock ammo is effectively worthless, even sideshots can be difficult. You need to grind out actual usable ammo to fight any ground based vehicles. And the ERA? It's chemical energy weapons only. Yeah you'll have trouble against things with HEAT, but sabot will go clean through.

I gotta say that the most amusing thing was getting saved from a Bradley and Apache at the same cap point, and then laughing off the Apache until a friendly Tunguska blasted it out of the air. Really satisfying to play this tank, and use it strictly as a backup for day maps and help grind the rest of the tech tree with the squadron vehicles, and such.

Im gonna sell the t80 but keep the Tornado, i have 4 ground trees at 11.0 but except for the mig23ml my air units for those nations are only around rank 4. So now i can skip the Russian air tree, german air tree, and British air tree (im halfway the rank 7 squadron Harrier). That leaves me with the American one but so far im using the current battlepass A-1H and that is basically an A10 Warthog without smart ammo. (Im going to buy the 2S38 with the gold i get from selling the T80)

@@still_guns the T62M's were shipped to the DPR & LPR militias, its not for frontline use but just as infantry fire support and i failed yet to find an ukrainian grunt complaining that his position was blown up by a 115mm HE instead of a 125mm HE, its not like there are big tank battles, the ukrainian T64s were largely destroyed within weeks of the invasion and most of the stuff they captured are inoperable or they would use it more.

You have to hit the *inert* shells that are at the bottom to detonate the carousel, the charges don't blow up

This performs as good as you'd expect from a T80 but as someone who relies a lot on thermals especially for long distance sniping the lack of it is a deal breaker and the APS is really not special, if a missiles travels above 700 m/s you're done, it won't stop optically guided missiles either if I'm not mistaken.

In general I think most Russian tanks are very survivable take the T-34 and the SU-152 for example the can take a few shots before dying and have great cannons, if you take my German tank performance and my Russian tank performance you'll notice a big difference

The thing is the Russian ammo rn. It just won't detonate. I get 7 kills average each game and when I face Russians the ammo will blackhole 2-3 times. Like that's not okay. If ur gonna look realistically on the matter, a hit in the ammo on a Russian tank ALWAYS ends in either a fire or detonation

After death in T80BVM you can respawn, T80UM2 is great in the mid-game, because then players respawn in: helicopters, drones, planes. Unbelievable that they didn't add it to the tech tree because it balances the game perfectly! When they add radar missiles to Apache, only T80UM2 will be playable, for others the gameplay will require you to hide from Apache, by going cover to cover.

12:52 should have taken the ka50 with vikhrs here , u could have shat on both the helis. nothing beats vikhrs.(in a heli vs heli situation)

the aircraft destroyed thing is a glitch where if you kill somebody and they come back as a drone and j out there is a chance that you somehow get credited for the kill. and it’s not just abandoned town that the fences stop apfsds it’s a lot of maps it’s another bug

Not a glitch, J-ing out in an aircraft gives kill credit to the closest nearby enemy within a certain range.

@@prestigexv2151 no it’s not the clossest enemy. i j-ed out once after the apex update and the dude that last killed me at the other end of the map got the kill. i have also j-ed out of a drone 2 other times before apex predators and this never happened. i even got credit for a kill on a drone while i was in the center of the map surrounded on all sides by teammates and the guy who j-ed out was the last guy i had killed.

Funny how most CCs dunk on this that it's bad, then Odd is that it's great. I think the APS is good, even if losing thermals hurts. You can still have T-80U and T-80UK in your lineup so I don't think losing thermals is bad, you can just pick one of those if you get a big map where you need thermals. I don't need thermals in city maps.

People whine about losing thermals because it means you have to play more strategically and actually think about angles and where others might come from. The games maps were made for WW2 tanks, losing thermals is not that big of a deal if you just play smart. Most people just use thermals as a crutch to relieve poor positioning.

@@pluemas I think yeah if you have enough map knowledge it isn't that bad. I have bit over 2k hrs on tanks so I generally have a good understanding of where the enemy will be, even without thermals. Of course there are maps that that almost require thermals because of the foliage, but most maps you get are pretty small.

I'm gonna hold on to mine and watch the market I can't play 4 t-80s in a match and being at top teir I'd rather it have thermals it's must for a sniper. 😎
