Sorry to keep talking but ash gave away, 2 50meter penalties for not giving the ball back, and in the second 50 meter penalty you can see, he asks the umpire, which one do I give the ball to, and the umpire thinks he’s time waiting so gives Brisbane another 50 meter penalty.

That 50 for throwing the ball to the wrong person ... ? Ridiculous. Players are starting to manipulate the umps like chumps. Some crazy games this year. The port kick shouldn’t of been insufficient attempt, it was a simple miss kick, he tried to get it inside 50

Umps should be instructed to never pay 50 if any teammates of a player receiving a free hold out their hands or call for the ball.

There should be a rule that the team awarded the free must identify (ie a player putting their hand up). If they don't then its not 50, if the wrong player or 2 players do, then its not 50 as they are just delaying themselves. So the defending player can hold the ball until someone identifies, forcing the team with the free to do it, and avoiding these type of situations.

the umpires cost GWS the game .. not Bret Daniels Joe's tackle did NPOT deserve a free goal - should have been 50 for GWS if anything (your assessment was correct - reset and get on with it) and the Port deliberate that wasn't paid was not paid because the umpires missed two frees just prior the Toby Green was not paid because it was Toby Green ... looked like a the push in the back just before that
