I'm surprised nobody mentioned They're Coming To Take Me Away by Napoleon XIV m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/eImyqIGFm5eEjrs which was released with the B side simply the A side played backwards. Another relic from my father's boyhood record collection, I would listen to it for hours in my bedroom with my friends, giggling hysterically. There are few discernible backwards lines - such as "You amoral cat", "Valerie your snake.washed to serve this ???" something about "Yeah, one eye and now we're mellow" and well as the odd mention of the CIA. I recorded this on a tape - along with other various gems from the family record collection - for my sister when she went off to nursing college in the mid-90s. She still plays the tape in her car now.

Thanks for debunking backmasking Ben. Everytime I've looked into backmasking, I've come to the same conclusions that the reversed words are coincidental depending on the sentence and word structure (though not to any scientific level of detail). Also, if you close your eyes and don't read someone else's interpretation, you don't hear it at all. The most straightforward reason is that this is just an artifact of the human brain and how adept it is at language processing and pattern recognition. Then you combine that with religion and any sense of objective thinking goes out the window; you see the devil in the details everywhere you look. Real backmasking is always blatently obvious because it sounds backwards. When reversed, it will sound the same objectively to everyone as intended by the artist.
