I'd love to incorporate non-traditional uses for rooms once I have a house/more space! I currently use an attachment to our living room as an office/place for my plants but building something like a library or an art studio would be a dream! My favorite funny/childish decor pieces are my yoshitomo nara prints (harmless kitty and missing in action) which are matted in a kind of matcha chartreuse color and a thin chrome frame. And of course, lego sports cars

Sending all the love from North Carolina ❤ I just found a really cool chalk profile portrait ( 1960s) of a younger man who's kind of mod looking and I'm OBSESSED with it!

I always used to change the rooms around in my dollhouses haha. The beautiful bed just deserved to be in the biggest room of the house! (the living room)

Maybe in the future you could design a chair with balls and then get a local woodworker to make it. Not like a dupe or anything, more of a collaboration!

poland mentioned! i think elements connecting you to your heritage should be their own design yum category! i'm on a look out to thrift a vintage shoe cabinet to store slippers for guests. i wanna go back to the custom of always having a pair of kapcie for everyone who visits, just like my grandma does haha sending you lots of love! i hope everything turns out well

Love the portrait of a rando idea, already have implemented it in my living room. Also loved the hidden intention tip, adds a very intimate, personal dimension to your design!

I put a reading corner in my kitchen because (1) it's the only place in the apartment with good natural lighting and (2) I like to sit comfortably while waiting for my pasta to cook.

PS. I'm turning my dining room into a library. I downloaded a random portrait of a girl and her cat and put it in my bathroom. Great ideas.
