Unibet ambassador Fergal O’Brien is a Grade 1 winning National Hunt racehorse trainer, who had a record-breaking season in 2019/20 with 63 winners. Fergal recently moved his operation to a brand new facility at Ravenswell Farm, just down the road from the iconic Cheltenham Racecourse. We travelled to Ravenswell Farm for a tour of the stable and to speak to Fergal about the dream of training a Cheltenham Festival winner on his new home soil in the Cotswolds.
With Team FOB enjoying another hugely successful season so far, we got insight into Fergal’s biggest hopes for the upcoming Cheltenham Festival. Imperial Alcazar is the current favourite for the Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle, while last year’s Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle second Dolcita has a shot at the Mares’ Hurdle this time with her new trainer. The likes of Alaphilippe, Stoner’s Choice and Ask A Honey Bee are just a handful of other runners that Fergal will take to the Festival.
