...did many jobs with artificial turf- Central Florida area...what people dont realize is especially here in Florida, Artificial turf gets hot...REAL HOT....+120°-150°.... no fun barefoot or for your pets!.. Ive done outside edges stapled with narrow crown 1 3/4" staples to composite boards,seams stapled into a multiple layer of plastic sheeting and mirifi fabric...irrigation staples tend to bunch up the turf if your not careful...also,consideration for excessive rainfall (like here in Florida), i might also go to a channel drain at the edge between paver and turf since you now have made all of the area in the yard impervious to water.

Should you add a weed barrier if you have pets? I heard it leaves a bad smell
@gavinmcguire50968 ай бұрын
Are you guys not completely removing weeds and vegetation? Looks like most people I see install turf are just removing from the surface. Does the weed barrier suffocate the roots that are left over? Genuinely curious to know how weeds arent popping through the surface

Thinking about getting turf installed i see in video that you went up to the block wall does the footing get in the way for tacking it down with the nails and staples so its nice and snug or is it better to have a paver border off the wall a foot or so just curious thx

Depends on depth of footing

Does the artificial turf act as a weed barrier as well, or will weeds still grow here and there so to speak ? Love the way it looks and the craftsmanship 👍
@OdellCompleteConcrete Жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s does just around the edges weeds may pop up
@Only_wholesale_custom Жыл бұрын
@@OdellCompleteConcrete Yes, if you want to prevent weeds from growing, you need to deal with the soil layer, such as compacting the ground, or paving the cement layer

My only comment is related to the fact you don't service the San Jose, Ca area would be great if you could add turf to our backyard. Either way, enjoy watching your installations.

Why didn’t you put the drainage below the gravel at dirt level as the water will need to fill up that area to get above the drainage hole to be useful. Asking because I am doing that now and would like to install correctly.

American gardena always look so soviet with all the concrete. Concrete walls and floors! You guys could really use some nice Yorkshire stone flags or something for character. Then again my garden walls are stone and were built before the states were united so you'd probably think they look messy. Different strokes for different folks. Looks like some good work though guys.
@XrpAndy10 ай бұрын
You have walls from before 1776?? lol I doubt that
@yanceyboyz10 ай бұрын
@@XrpAndy Yes, I do. I live in York, Yorkshire. Our buildings here on stonegate make 1776 look like yesterday, our city is literally built inside castle walls and my local pub, where I was drinking just last night, also on stonegate, was built in 1664. My friend from Chicago was married here recently and he got married in the merchant adventures hall, which was built in 1352. I'm giving you the names of the buildings and streets so you can a) Google them and b) have a look on Google maps. The rear wall in my garden is from the 11th century. 1776, like I said, is not very long ago buddy.
