Yellow isn't always the most legible or eye-friendly colour for ink... but I think this might be a beautiful base with a few drops of another ink to move it towards an orange, green, coral or brown. Or as a less neon highlight/accent.

I agree. I didn't think about that option but it makes sense. However I think I'll keep it as it is... I have too much ink, so I don't really need to mix a lot to make new inks. But in the future it makes sense. Some years ago I used to experiment a lot with ink mixes to try to find the perfect ink colour. Now I just use the inks straight out of the bottle (or cartridge).

@@OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita I guess I'm still in the ink mixing stage! :)

@@angelaking9619 And that is an amazing and exciting stage. I think I need to go back there. But I have so many inks with so many shades... Maybe I need to use up some bottles before I dive into that again.

Wow what a warm yellow 💛

It is. Nice, almost ochre. But anyway not usable in every situation.

I loved the pen choices here, Paulo. The ink is not bad if used on white papers. May I request you to just use a dip pen or at least dip a fountain pen and write during the ink reviews. Else, it's a lot of work to fill and clean them. Thank you.

Thanks. Yes, this is a lot of work, but I think it is useful to see how they behave with, at least, two different nibs.

I absolutely HATE "shading". I'm old enough to remember when an ink that "shaded was considered a bad, cheap, poorly formulated ink that only those who couldn't afford something better would buy. Then the marketers took over, shouted to one and all that "shading was a feature, not a bug, and as usual, they captured those young enough to be unaware of what "shading" was before the marketers came to town. The rest is history. But I still hate shading. To me, it's a sloppy mess that looks like it came from a one dollar pen found on the Walmart clearance isle. I'm talked to non-fountain pen users in business, and nearly all of them have the same opinion. So I'm not crazy about this ink on that basis. It's also an unpleasant ink to read on many types of paper.

I understand that. I think this ink looks nice on the swatch but is not very usable. I don't like shading inks - the worst I ever had was a very expensive Montblanc Swan Plume - but because I usually use Fine or medium nibs they need to be very shading to be visible on most papers. But I never liked that too. Today there are inks that are more to play with than to actually write.
