I am a Social Worker that works a Inpatient Psych Unit.. A mentally ill highly psychotic patient told me about Odesza... I am forever grateful for her introducing me to this Artist. I am forever hooked. This lady knows her music. That's why I love working the field of Mental Health.. they are more knowledgeable and deserves more credit than society gives them. This music is calming to the soul. I see why she loves this artist.

I think the whole "spaceship" story is a metaphor for isolation and coping with it. Learning to find yourself in solitude, as the cosmonaut learns to fall in love with the "sound". All the songs on the album are in some way related to separation, isolation, conflict driving people apart or people being drawn together. Hence the album title, A Moment Apart. Really just a brilliant work all around.

And you notice at the end of the album, the "ticking" sound is still softly progressing. That feeling of isolation, the pain of separation, never really goes away. It just becomes softer and moves into your memory as time goes on, but we always carry the lessons with us.

I've never loved an album, not a set, but full album more than I love this one, I've cried, I've rejoiced, I've partied to this album...Many times. Every time I listen to it I feel something profound. I have this emotion of learning to love, not just myself but my being in where I'm at, my world around me. Things just make sense in a weird way. Like I've found a sence of love I had lost. Thank you so much odeza. Your music helps me keep find a path in this life that reminds me to love and better myself, even in times of loneliness.

First thing to change about yourself. Stop calling it "yours". This is not a problem. Is a solution trying to be found, but you are in a conditon where this solution might not be visible or possible. So stop calling it yours. It is a survival gift. Not a disorder. Don't let media dictate who you are. Don't let people take from you. Sponges are never dirty. It's what they clean up for others what destroys them. Eat plenty of iron. Stop calling conditions "yours". It's never ours. It's within.

I just discovered you by mere chance, and it has been inspiring, all the sound harmony that makes me levitate beyond infinity. Even though I am now 52 years old, the most important thing is that music has to be comprehensive for everyone. And I'm that person, who has the eclectic ear. I'm a fan of your musicality, good for dancing without fear and it's liberating for the soul. I just hope you come to Portugal one day, because I really know you're going to put on a great show. You're already on my wish list of concerts I want to see "before I die". I look forward to it. Keep it up.

For me. Some of the best music I have experienced always reminds me of the passage of time. Makes me reflect on all the memories, the good, the bad, the hard, the ugly, the triumphs the laughs, the uniqueness. Can't help but leave me in tears. Some of Odesza's songs are some of those. I don't care if I'm a male and I cry in public to these songs. Let the world judge. For the only one who Judges me is myself and god.
