The story this song tells hits you right in the feels. Odesza did an amazing job telling you a story through sound. Something very hard for artist to do. I think it is called thin floors and high ceilings because these people end up screaming at eachother in the end of the song. The people below can hear what's going on through the thin floors as the tall ceilings echoes throughout the room, enhancing the argument

Interesting take, I like it. It gives the song more meaning to it.
@cosmonucleus70764 жыл бұрын
As someone who experiences life as high highs and low lows, thin floor represents how easy it is to fall down into a spiral and tall ceilings would be the rush at the top, except in my case the high keeps going up till I hit the ceiling, the more intensely the rise the more intensely is that floor felt.

Seja a sua religião qual for. O piso é fino. Você vai errar... Pode cair... Se machucar... O teto é alto... Mas basta olhar PRA CIMA. ELE vai estar lá. Sei que passa certa desesperança pra quem não crê. "Pisos finos e teto altos..." Mas a fé é isso. O mundo são os pisos finos... Deus está acima. Nos TETOS ALTOS... basta acreditar e não importará QUAL ALTURA DESSE TETO.

Some songs bring out the wild. Some songs bring out the chaos But then there's those that hit your soul. I'm talking about the kinda music that gives acceptance of the person you are. We don't need to conform to feel accepted by another. Every little thing that makes us do the things we do comes out of pure appreciation. I know by experience because I am a people pleaser. I'll give 100 percent of myself to a person in need to build them up and support them all I can whether it's day 1 or day 1000. This is enough for me to say one day "I'm proud of you and how far you've come." We also think doing idiot, childish, stupid, maniacal things for others is considered "weird" and an act of insanity. When did we decide what's too insane. Quite honestly I think doing stupid things for people we cherish is underrated and not done enough. I'll take insane over the cocktail of the norm we've concocted any day. That's the challenge. That's the fun. That's the passion. And that's where everything falls into place because we opt for the challenge. Getting what you want without actually working for it is, on all counts, unrewarding. One of the essentials in my experience. When you beat it, it changes you without realization. Mostly for the good. Instead we walk a path others design for us and live by quotes others write on a little piece of paper that gives us some form of clarity. Or so we think. Whether the one cancels out the other we just want to see something on paper that makes us decide for us on who we are and who we're suppose to be. And that shouldn't happen. Life is now. It's short but it's precious and it's worth giving your 100 percent when you are 100 percent certain of yourself even when you're scared, anxious and confused. You don't need someone else to tell you otherwise. And ultimately that's all we want in this life. Acceptance. For yourself. So whoever you are. I'm proud of you... Cal
