I cried while listening to you recount your Odette experience. Hugs! The morning after Odette, my husband and I went around the city to check and it was indeed devastating what happened to Cebu and the other places in VisMin. We felt like it was in the 1990 Ruping all over again.

i was not able to cry or even process my emotions after the typhoon bec of the survival mode.but i bursted into tears watching your vlog. all of the memories from the typhoon, how traumatic it was, and also the scene the morning after the typhoon, all of it came back and i just cant 😭hayyy i hope we all heal

Miss Vern! Sending my hugs! I'm from Cebu and I cried when you cried! I remember my mom was crying while she was praying in the altar during the typhoon. I dont really get nervous during situations like this but this time was different talaga. It was terrifying tas naliligo pa ako nung time na yun. I felt like our roof was gonna blow off. What made it scarier was that kami lang dalawa ng mom ko sa house. But thankfully wala naman damage yung house namin. It really is so heartbreaking to see my hometown wrecked pero it also made me realize after, how strong and determined Cebuanos really are. Makes me 10x prouder to be Cebuano. Every time I will watch videos related to Odette. It really breaks my heart as I reminisced the times when Odette hit Cebu City particularly in Lapu-Lapu City. It is so traumatizing, In the middle of the typhoon at around 8pm we are evacuating with my family and my one year old child. Grabi ang hangin, the roofs are flying and the branches of the trees are flying. Same Vern, up until now I am still crying 💔😭

Glory to God that all of your loved ones are safe Miss Vern. Our City was also affected here in Negros Oriental. A lot of houses and lives were destroyed. That was a really terrifying experienced. Praying for a complete restoration for all of the cities that were affected.

I am from Cebu and I experience all these hardships. Looking for a place where I and the kids can stay was struggling. Although my place was not torn out we got no water, electricity, signal, and hard to buy things and water especially when I have a little one that needs clean water more than I do. It was hard. I have to save up water and give it to the kids instead of me drinking.

Hi ver. Up to now the trauma is still here with me/us with my fam. It hit us differently because roxas palawan or palawan itself didnt get that hard typhoon it Was just ordinary or normal rain even if pagasa forcasted signal #3 and I have a cancer patient mom, We didnt prepared for the worst actually , the reality that We are so open, vulnerable and nothing compared to strongest wind and rain that night is,so humbling. I Was literally crying to the Lord to stop na pls because my mom is panicking and We are all wet, our roof flew and We heard all the bubong and kahoy and wind and rain all together outside of our house, i Was praying to God to stop because I can't accpet it if my mom died during odette. Nakakapanglumo up to know but We praise God We are all alive and kicking... Godbless you

May experience is we really thought na lilipad na yung bobong namin. Till we decide did to transfer to our neighbors house. Kasi parang sa kanila yung safe. Pagka next day. We realize na mas worst pala yung situation nang family ko sa mother side. Kasi lumangoy na sila sa baha kasi umapaw sa river control yung baha. Grabing iyak ko. Piru kahit halos wala na silang bahay na natira. Thankful parin kasi buhay silang lahat. 😭

We should realize that the typhoon is a punishment from God for our grievous sins we committed. Life is not about happiness, success, fame. We are here on earth to multiply and serve the Lord. To do His will and follow His commandments. We should sacrifice for God. People forget to realize that life here on earth is only temporary that's why we need to live a holy life and save our souls. We should think the next life which is the eternal life after we die. Not only typhoon will strike us, famine, wars, calamities will come if all of us will not be converted.
