Wow! This is awesome! What a lovely lively crowd! Amazing! so alive! Who said that Filipinos rarely give a standing ovation to a performer/s? This is obviously a whole-round standing ovation show :-) The crowd was on their feet dancing, jamming, singing and screaming the whole time :-) I guess this is the effect of being suppressed for 25 years :-) Wow! what a great crowd! great concert ! great singers and great songs :-) Really....love it !

@Milliardo5 Yup, The Cure would be a great idea too. Actually last 2008 there were negotiations to get U2 on July, 2008. I'm sure nagkatalo sa TF yun. Madali naman kasi magdala ng foreign acts dito. Logistics are pretty easy basta maayos ang scheduling. TF usually ang problema riyan. But of course I am not counting out other potential problems.

@Milliardo5 I was there at the Fra Lippo Lippi concert at the Folk Arts Theater. With KENO as the opening act. I watched the very last day of the extended concert series. I was 15 and my very first pop/rock concert ever! I think kaya ipackage and Spandau Ballet and Tears For Fears here. Siguro naman hindi na ganung kataas ang talent fee nila as they are not current artists na. I was aware of this Package Tour so I was a bit surprised this package was not arranged here.

thansk 4 sharing ur video odie. intro pa lng, u'll have goosebumps na e..the emotions were very high...i remember how my sisters and i would wait in front of the tv to wait for their MTVs in the 80s. they were one of the best good-looking bands then. and of course, their music is simply GREAT!!!!!!!!

@pexylou Well, about the Smiths, mukhang malabo na. Even the members of the Smiths are throwing lawsuits at each other left and right and clearly expressed no desire to work together again. The Pale Fountains? Well siguro if packaged with 2 more bands that would be great as they have only a handful of hits. Ah the return of Depeche Mode would be a welcome idea! Probably package Lotus Eaters (return to Manila), Pale Fountains and China Crisis! Solb solb yun!

@bpabustan ...Or they could do what they did in Australia and NZ last April--have both TFF and Spandau in one concert. That would be any 80s kid's dream--2 of the biggest 80s bands in one concert. Do you remember the Fra Lippo Lippi concerts? Those were a blast, too. It's just like this. So we've seen at least two very memorable concerts. Hopefully they could bring in more.

They are coming back on Aug10!!! So if you want to experience this kind of concert wherein the artist and the crowd are soooo into it.. then watch TFF in the Philippines. You won't regret flying to Manila. Just be sure to purchase your ticket beforehand, you wouldn't want to end up buying from scalpers 3x the original price.
