Gold has been discovered on my late grandfather's land. Some of the family members tried to sell it but i had to stop them. They had already sold " one pole" for 20,000 ghs . I refused to allow any galamsy mining on the land. I know am very unpopular. I wanted a licence for small scale mining but discovered 1000 acres of the area including ours have been given to a big company to mine. That company has a prospecting licence. Apparently that wasn't given by the current government. I understand, we can approach the big company to negotiate to get our land back. Very frustrating i would say.
