The only 3 versions of kratos that beats Odin 1v1 is end of gow 3 kratos, kratos at the beginning of 2 and power of hope kratos. All other versions of kratos loses 1v1. Old kratos could probably win as well but we are not sure how strong he’d be if he just snapped like he did in the old games which is why I’m not putting him up there. We know old kratos is stronger than young kratos but the young kratos Cory was talking about was kratos from god of war 1, ascensions, and chains of Olympus and for the most part of god of war 2. God of war 3 kratos could be argued to be physically weaker than old kratos but he had a fuck ton of gear that would make him overall more powerful and more useful in a 1v1 against Odin. He had weapons made to literally counter anything Odin through at him. He had the Golden Fleece which is an armor that was literally made to counter all types of magic from gods or monster, had a weapon that could summon monsters and souls from the under world to aid him and could also steal the souls of his opponents, had a gauntlet aka the nemean cestus that increased his punching power, had the nemesis whip which was confirmed in the data book to be equal to the blades of chaos in power but had the lightning attribute instead of fire, had the strongest weapon in the series aka the blade of Olympus which literally drains the powers of any gods it touches and can only be wielded by a god who has drained there powers into it which is why only Zeus and kratos could wield it because Zeus created it and kratos had to drain his god of war powers into it to wield it. He also had the boots of Hermes which gave kratos Hermes speed and Hermes is confirmed to be the fastest god in the franchise according to the data book and was stated to be so fast he could outrun death and could deliver dreams to everyone in the world every night and could run so fast he could literally run into other dimensions. Old kratos could could be argued to be physically stronger than god of war 3 kratos but god of war 3 kratos just had a shit ton of powerful equipment. Heck mf could even fly. Power of hope kratos is definitely slapping da fuq outta Odin. I don’t even have to explain why. Full god kratos at the beginning of god of war 2 is also beating Odin 1v1. Mfer was so strong that he was doing whatever he wanted and the gods were scared to confront him to tell him to stop so Zeus had to trick him into giving up his powers before confronting him. He was Fully immortal with his full god power in god of war 2 as stated by the narrator and was tossed around and shit in the beginning of that games and brushed it off like nothing. He was thrown across the city of Rhodes into several building and got up, looked at the hole in the ceiling and walked off like nothing happened and that was after he already had half of his power taken. That version of kratos had the most magical abilities out of any version of kratos according to the comics and novel outside of weapons. He had all the magic he had in previous games and also had new powers he had gotten after becoming a full god which he inherited from ares and gods like Apollo also gave him magical abilities as a gift after he became god of war. You see him using the magic that was gifted to him by Apollo in the comic. He used it to vaporize an island sized monster. All the other younger versions of kratos gets slapped by Odin. It’s hinted in the dlc for ragnarok that old kratos might get back the power of hope which im hyped for

Scaling really bad in this. Odin is strong enough to actually stun an older stronger enraged Kratos. If it wasn’t for Atreus and Freya he would’ve lost by himself. Past Kratos might’ve given some difficulty but he definitely would’ve lost, especially because of how much more intelligent Odin is.

Also, when does he say the Norse Pantheon is the strongest he ever fought? From what we've seen, the Norse Pantheon is nothing compared to the Greek Pantheon so that's also invalid. And in GoW2 when Kratos goes back in time, he states that they can't win the Great War in that time, meaning the Gods were stronger when they were younger. Kratos gow 2-mid diff, because Kratos only didn't kill Zeus in Gow 2 because Athena interfered, otherwise he would have killed him. Kratos Gow 3-Low-mid diff because he has more powers and weapons than Gow 2 and more powers, and Zeus is stronger than Odin and Kratos defeated Odin easier than Zeus, even without powers and many weapons. Edit:Odin never faced powerful enemies, and if he did face giants, Kratos faced titans and gods.
