I just wanted to see if a tanky Odin could work, obviously this was done insanely dangerously and it would have been a lot better to clear using say... Multiple units instead of 1, or slowing down so that Odin wasn't constantly rushing into danger at low HP, or using a better unit

Oh but this could've been taken further. I see that's female onmyoji Corrin. Perhaps you could've swapped Astra or Strong Riposte for Tomefaire. Personally I'd get rid of Astra because then it means that Odin will proc Astra or Sol, and on this build, I'd say Sol is superior. He could also get Quixotic from Basara which would increase his sol proc while being less dodgy which honestly doesn't matter since they already aren't killing him even if they hit. The result is more damage overall with more of a chance to proc Sol and heal off any incoming damage.

Pretty sure skills in Fates have an order of priority, as in the game rolls the rng dice for the skills with the highest priority first if an unit has multiple offensive skills and Sol is the highest in the list and Astra is near or at the bottom of it(I think). So anytime Astra activated, the game already had rolled the rng for Sol but failed. Also, Astra gives more shield gauge, which could save his life in a pinch

How did you get all these skills onto Odin? Is there a legit way to get things like swordmaster skills onto him like you did here? Or is this a theorycrafted modded/hacked thing?

He can reclass into a samurai/myrmidon with a second seal. To get Sol, he was probably married to someone who could reclass into a hero.

Not only is this not hacked, it's actually completely possible to do this on a copy of Conquest without any DLC. Odin can use a Heart Seal to change into the Samurai tree, so that's point one. The second point, with Sol, is that Odin can either A+ support with Laslow and Friendship Seal into Hero, or marry Selena and reclass into Hero with a Partner Seal. And it has to be one of those two that gave him Sol. Charlotte gives him Sol via Partner Seal into Hero, but because her Hero class is from the Fighter tree, her reclass would give Odin HP+5 and Gamble, which conflicts with the fact that this Odin has Strong Riposte, a Mercenary skill.

Odin's Heart Seal class has Swordmaster and his friendship class with Laslow gives Hero, it's very easy to get all of these skills on him just by running him through his sword using classes

What may also seem hard to grasp is that no one puts efforts into these "lesser" units in favor of more already pre-built units like the royals, but these units usually have a lot of unlocked potential that is VERY fun to tap into.

you can really make him any class you want. he has a split 50/45 Str/Mag growth with a very high defense growth and the highest skill stat in the game. As long as the guy has a spair up he destroy as absolutely any class you put him in@@Organic_Organist
