Within the first minute or two of hearing Brother Alexis, I knew he was going to be an awesome AA speaker. He recounts his story of alcoholism in such a colorful way that you almost feel like you are there with him. He has a great sense of humor and tells his story in an entertaining fashion. Brother Alexis is great at sharing some of the emotions he felt, both in the depths of alcoholism, and the redeeming power of the program of recovery. Alcoholism is such a progressive devious disease. Long ago before I came to AA I knew I drank more than what is called healthy and in an unhealthy manner like sneaking drinks and I knew that but did want to accept it.. I liked your talk.
