Odsal has come outta nowhere to easily be F1's best track now, hope they keep it for a long time, or at least 1 or 2 more seasons before it gets taken from them again

It's a fantastic venue even from just a visual standpoint and it really does beg the question why more stock car tracks didn't follow this multi purpose stadium format. It's funny you say that it's such a good track though, you look at every mention of its name and there's someone in the comments whining about it because it's not tarmac or the surface sometimes breaks up and so on. I think some folk will complain about everything. Shame there's a new story every year about it potentially disappearing again too. I think it shows off F1s better than any place in the UK by far

@@PescaraProductions dread to think how fast it'd be on tarmac lol I do like a tarmac track but feels like it's perfect as it is....can get speedway in there hopefully too

Too expensive more likely. 22 quid on the gate and factor in the 30 quid you spend on fuel to get there if you're me, coupled with the parking cost and food and you're looking at about £70 for half a days racing!

As a watcher of F1 stock car racing of nearly 50 yrs, I really do think they should have less cars in a race . There's a pile up every few laps . The racing only improves once the field has reduced .

No I disagree, the fewer cars in a race the more likely it will be a roundy roundy yawn fest.

Not sure you've been around stock car fans that much then lol. That's "good stock car racing" and anything else is "too roundy round" *makes spinning finger hand gesture*

The surface seems very slick, maybe contributing to the amount of crashes. More so than back in the older Odsal day's.

I loved the white top races when it was tarmac years ago. About 30 cars, all novices.

Races are spoilt by continuous yellow flags.
