@darrens888 At 25:47, Flash was mining from his natural, his third, and the new base that was just dropped. It doesn't show up well on the mini-map, but the announcers scroll through them between 25:14-25:18.

@Xellos357 Flash had 4 bases with 3 mining bases, albeit briefly since he couldn't hold them. You can see that when Jaedong's drop lands at ~25:47, that 2nd expand is mining before it gets taken down.

@darrens888 At 25:14, you can see Flash's natural is mining. At 25:16, they scroll down to Flash's third. At 25:18, they click over to Flash's new mining 4th at the 9 o' clock base. This isn't that hard.

odd game. really strong start from jd, then it seemed like he let flash back into it and his macro slipped, and then the game dwindled out until flash gged. still, well done JD, showed that little run of losses was nothing serious ^^

@Bleak13 I dunno about you but the commentators were favouring Flash throughout the entire game. As a Korean person, it was very distracting to see how they kept complementing him every fucking second. Also, Keep in mind that flash couldn't harass him (noticed how his dropship went down in the beginning?) Whereas zerg was able to knock his expansion out. It's true that mech is rather difficult to penetrate through, thats why it seemed like JD was "lagging".

i have no clue why zerg players almost never use queens to infest CCs. not to get infested terrans, but to get the CC out of the terran's hands much quicker.

Peter Skorokhodov Good point, but I think it's too costly, as 1 queen and queen's nest costs 250 minerals, 200 gas. There aren't that many opportunities to attack CCs, and they die quite quickly. I only see queens used for old school Zerg players, such as JulyZerg :)

You have to build a best anyways to advance to hive, so buying a queen shouldn't be so bad. And I've seen plenty times where the cc was like 800 health and the Terran ends up repairing it to safety with 12 scvs.

@TheBarbahaba How come, if mech/vultures is overpowerd, isn't every Terran do goliath/tank/vulture vs Zerg. Or doesn't everyone play Terran. There are ways to beat it with both P and Z. For example queens with Z, or arbiters with P. In the KESPA top 30 there are 10 terran, 11 Zerg, 9 protoss, in top 10: 3 terr, 3 toss, 4 zerg. Though first toss is at place 5, then 6. SC:BW is perfectly balanced.

Because competitive gaming is a popular spectator sport in South Korea while in the west the entertainment industry is like "pff, video games? Why watch a game when you can just play it? Sounds boring. Oh look, the game's on!" *goes back to watching football.* There's more incentive to be a pro gamer in South Korea, so more people play and more people discover a talent for certain games. South Koreans aren't predisposed to be good gamers any more than people in the west. It's just that their society values the ability to be a competitive gamer, so a higher proportion of the population looks for that ability.

역시 리쌍의 경기. 그 와중에 이영호는 더 돋보이는 것 같다. 8배럭과 9드론이 맞물리면서 사실 여기까지는 반반 정도로 봐줄 수 있는데, 2서치에 들어간 일꾼(마지막 나간 일꾼까지 총 3개) 및 저글링과 소수의 scv와 마린의 교환이 컸다. 상대가 어찌 9드론을 할 지 알았겠냐만 결과적으로 서플 서플 배럭심시티는 4,5 드론 저글링에 방어가 용이한 편이지 마린, 저글링이 통과가능한 배럭 서플 심시티를 했다면 바로 커맨드도 가져갈 수 있었을텐데하는 아쉬움이 든다. 이제동도 뮤탈이 뜨자마자 해설이 말한대로 조금의 망설임없이 터렛을 깨고 들어가는 판단을 보여주는데 이제동이 아니었다면 이영호가 충분히 뒤집을 수 있었다고 본다. 그 외에 4러커, 2성큰 밭을 적절히 마린을 나누어 러커점사로 위협적인 모습을 보여주고 (모든 마린을 일점사하면 버로우된 두, 세 러커가 촉수를 뻗고 그 촉수뻗은 러커가 죽음으로써 발악데미지가 들어갈 가능성이 큰데, 이영호는 적절하게 마린을 나누어 두 러커에 이점사를 해줌으로써 시간차로 버로우 하는 러커를 매우 효율적으로 죽이는 모습을 보여주었다. 정말 대단한 플레이), 앞마당 앞에서 비록 시즈탱크 1기이지만, 디파일러를 점사해주고, 마린메딕베슬로 추가병력 특히 디파일러가 포함된 병력차단, 9시 다크스웜이 펼쳐진 저글링 어그로에서 드랍하려는 오버로드로 점사변경, 탱크 대부대가 1시로 진격할 때 미니맵을 보면 이미 3시에서 오는 경로는 마인밭인 점 등 감탄을 자아내는 플레이의 연속이었다. 이제동 역시 굵직한 중요한 것들을 놓치지 않는데, 초반 저글링으로 이득보기, 뮤탈의 과감한 침투, 소수의 러커를 이용한 수비, 성큰밭이 뚫려도 성급해하지않고 멀티에서 도착한 러커와 함께 저글링뮤탈이 마무리 하는 점, 베슬과 드랍쉽 격추, 9시 가스멀티 견제, 1시 앞마당에 3성큰 사이에 언버로우 러커를 둠으로써 벌처난입 방지 등 생각없이는 불가능한 지능적인 플레이의 연속이었다. 조금 더 디테일한 플레이는 이영호에게서 많이 나왔지만, 이는 이영호가 불리한 입장이여서 최대한 효율을 끌어올리고자 한 것이고, 이제동은 유리한 입장에서 경기를 지지않는 최상의 방법대로 계속 끌고가는 것을 보여줌으로써 명경기가 만들어졌다. 가장 중요한 순간은 극초반 마메병력 진출 후 추가 마린이 끊긴 것이었다고 본다. 좀 더 모아서 나왔거나 끊기지 않았다면 성큰을 하나 더 지었을 것이고, 뮤탈이 과감하게 들어올 판단을 하기 힘들었을텐데 이제동의 센스플레이로 안그래도 유리한 것이 굳혀지게 되지않았나싶다. 이제동이 타스타팅이 아니라 4시 멀티를 가져간 것도 참 좋은 플레이.
