hey man i so i am doing the head gasket on my rb20 right now and i’m about to get the car to tdc and remove the timing belt and cams, but i have heard you cannot re install the cams on tdc, is that true? i am very new to getting this far into a motor and don’t want to mess anything up

I swapped my cams with the head on still and didn’t have any issues. You should be fine but try to keep it as close to tdc as you can to be safe
