OEM Windshields VS Aftermarket Windshields

What is the difference between OEM Windshields vs Aftermarket Windshields?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. This is the original company who won the contract to produce the part for that particular model. Sometimes it's referred to as "Dealership Glass."
Aftermarket Windshields are of varying degrees of quality from OEE to Generic. OEE stands for Original Equipment Equivalent.

Bought a 2001 Camry Solara two months ago. Have a couple of little stars on the windshield, one existing, one new. Glass outfit at the local flea market wouldn't fix but wanted me to get a new windshield for $110. Looked at his inventory. All cheap imported stuff. I am sure China and Mexico can make good products, but if the American distributor asks for cheap junk, they will make junk. The existing was PPG. Refused. The cracks had never spread, got them fixed for $45 by a mobile guy. Moral of the story. Do not replace your OEM quality windshield with a cheap aftermarket product. Got one a long time ago for an old Corolla. It quickly developed a crack from a little rock strike, and the crack spread. A good windshield resists rock damage better and suffers less damage when it does crack. Look at the label on your windshield, there is one. Better to fix the old if it is OEM than buy cheap junk. If you want or need new, save your pennies or even pawn your valuables if you have to. If you want to do business with a discount guy, negotiate with him to use an OEM-grade windshield. Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten.
