Really enjoyed this. In my younger days I did this Hike and the summits of Blumisalp and Frunden staying at the Huts. I once stood under the waterfall and nearly had my head knocked off. Thank you for sharing the hike with us.

So beautiful, I love your channel. My kids are 8 and 3, so we don’t get too far yet, but I’m bookmarking so many of these.

I have just done this hike, never seen a view like it from up there but i did find some parts a bit scary over what looked like dried up waterfalls.

Thank you for this! I’m afraid of heights and get scared easily….I’m curious if one end of the loop is easier than the other? I was thinking I could do one side of the trail to the main viewpoint looking down at the lake, then go back the same way I came…make it an out and back trail instead of a loop one to avoid the scary bits?
@SwissFamilyFun Жыл бұрын
Yes, you could walk up from the lake towards the hut, so counterclockwise. Just go as far as you feel comfortable then walk back. That part of the trail is not scary and you can still get a very nice overview of the lake. Good luck x

Hey! Ty for this video my husband and I are visiting at the end of the month. Are hiking boots necessary? And do you think it will be warm enough to swim? Thanks again!

Hello Tanya. Many thanks for this excellent post. You are doing a great job for all those coming to the area for the first time. Regarding the route - is there an orderly marking all along the way? Can't get lost there?

That’s just absolutely stunning 😍. We plan to visit Swiss sometime next year from NZ and Oeschinensee lake is on the list. I’m a bit scared about how to get to and from places, especially hiking trail. How do I know where to go or start? Look like Swiss people take train everywhere and I never get on train in my life 😂. Planing a holiday is exciting but when I think about things I want to do I’m scared 😢.

Hi, what time of the year would you recommend for hiking in this area of Switzerland? Weather looks very nice when you are there.
@SwissFamilyFun Жыл бұрын
June and July would be perfect there. August and September are also nice but maybe not quite as green.

Thanks for watching 😊 we did this hike the last day of June. Usually you can start doing this hike around the end of may if the snow has melted.

Hi great video, just subscribed to your channel and have watched a few of your videos, great stuff. We are planning a 2 day hike next June in the Swiss alps either flying to Geneva or Basel. Could you recommend a 2 day hike close to either airport or a couple of hours train journey 😃 we obviously want to hike but nothing dangerous. Any help appreciated 👍

Hi I attempted to do this hike yesterday, but unfortunately couldn’t finish it as it felt scary and dangerous for the height. Is it really safe to do it? And can you just do this hike without having a proper hiking shoes?
@HBB-CH902 жыл бұрын
Is it also possible to start this hike from opposite direction from the lake? It felt less scary with the height then. I mean from the place in your video when rain stopped and you said you passed the dangerous part.
