He's got an excellent point about frame sizing. I found out the hard way when I bought a medium Pivot Switchblade (I'm 5'10). Pivot's sizing guide put me at a medium but in reality, I felt cramped and it didn't feel right. I had to sell the frame and buy a large one.
@WorldwideCyclery4 жыл бұрын

i see you run a 2.4 rekon, how does it compare with a grippier but smaller tire like 2.3 DHR2? would it be lighter but provide similar grip?
@WorldwideCyclery4 жыл бұрын
Lighter yes. But less grip which I actually prefer for a rear tire. Rolls super fast too.
@vanw15544 жыл бұрын
@@WorldwideCyclery Maybe I just ask my question directly. My Santa Cruz Hightower (150mm F 140mm R) is using 25mm internal width old wheels with 2.3 inch DHF and DHR2. I feel fine and the grip is more than enough to me. But I see everyone else are using 2.4/2.5 WT tires now, even with less grip tire like your Rekon. If I want to try WT tires I have to upgrade to 30mm width wheels and the cost is not small. I want to ask if you think the difference between 2.4WT tires and 2.3 tires are huge and worth the upgrade in my case. Thank you!
