Watched this video a while ago, finally got the book from the library (through the magic of being extremely forgetful, I wasn't spoiled on anything) and you're all right, really good book! Very slow-paced, but I didn't feel like any of the scenes, characters, or plotlines should have been cut. And very visually written - it didn't feel like the author was trying to write a show/movie in text form, trying to translate the language of visual storytelling into words usually ends up too wordy and hard to follow, but it did feel like watching a show. You could see in your mind establishing shots of the cities and camera angles in some of the scenes, but without having to wade through paragraphs of describing the shots and the camera angles xD I feel like this is one of the books that'd actually translate well to a TV show or a mini-series! Between how visual it was as a book, and how there wasn't much internal narration that couldn't be translated into good acting or a few extra lines of dialogue, it probably wouldn't run into the usual issues that come with adapting a book onto a screen. It DEFINITELY couldn't be a movie, though, no way they could cut it down into one coherent 2 hour or less film
