Don't be ignorant. Singapore cost of living is low compared to other developed countries. The only expansive thing is car which is unnecessary in Singapore. As for housing, name me a developed world that can provide the same quality public housing that is affordable by any standard in the world. Low pay who's to bkame? Low pay is relative to education level and albeit low pay the government will still provide help to ensure them a decent living albeit Singapore is not a welfare state. Now, are you honest enough to tell me (a true blue Singaporean) your nationality and where did you deduce the outcome that you posted.

@@johnchua9387 a ignorant post from a ignorant person I’m a true blue singaporean too . Did I say singapore was a welfare state ? No I didn’t. I disagree with your statements entirely. Look around you at the current affairs of singapore the cost of living is high unless you ( John Chua) are born to a wealthy family or earning high income as top 10 earners in singapore who doesn’t feel the squeeze. Transport fee, food cost, public housing costs ,all has increased dramatically I guess you didn’t know that didn’t you ? I can’t blame a person who is living in cave.

@@krisnanstravelvlogscomings3893 If you are a true blue Singaporean, then you should be ashamed of yourself. I wasn't born in a wealthy family.as you assumed. As a matter of fact on the contrary I was like many older generation of Singaporean in the early 50-60s living in slump that has little sanitary during my childhood days. It is through education that I managed to freed my family from the slump Into HDB ( am still living in one after all these years). I am very aware of what is happening in Singapore and having work and lived in various developed countries, indeed Singapore cost of living including transport and accomodations are the cheapest you can get in a developed world. Do you know the cost of living in Hong Kong, US, Japan, Beijing, China Shanghai China? Go ask around if you have friends living in this area and come back and tell me . Every Singaporean are given the equal opportunity at the starting line for education regardless of your status. Yes, wealthy family more resources to help their kids, but ordinary people do get help from public resources that are supported by the government. Even if you do not make the grade there is ite to equate one with skills to secure a job and make a decent living. If one is really wanting to improve his living, then they should consider upgrading their skill that can improve their salary intake. There are many inspiring stories that the once poor kid had made it . Case in point mp Lawrence Wong and Chan Chun Seng. Our former PM GOH is raised by a single parent after his father passed on since he was young with three other siblings. There are countless examples. Ask your parent or your relatives. Are they not beneficiaries of Singapore progress with the hard working government and it's citizens since forcefully kicked out of Malaysia? I can fairly say that today's young many are too entitled and take things for granted. What is poor? Younger generation do not know what is to be poor.
