"Hamartia" is a new release from yours truly, out for the amazing Post Orientalism label, exploring guitar-and-drums-centric free improvisation with a series of limitations in the process:
Chelidon Frame’s "self-three" is an exploration around how to improvise with oneself with a limited set of choices available.
Each recorded segment must consist of three distinct layers: an improvised guitar take with no additional edit, an improvised drum take played on top, and one series of live electronics processing one of the two instruments or adding a new line on top of the other two.
The result is a combinatory process in which the three lines coexist in a new organic sound figure, where immediacy and intuition lead the game."
All guitars, drums, and live electronics have been recorded in one take, layering each new take upon the previous one, to achieve a raw and immediate feel.

yeah no problem with that, it’s the ebb and flow of improvisation, maybe the rest of the album is more your coup of tea! thanks for listening anyway!
