You two are amazing, you work tirelessly and the quality of your work is second to none. You find things to do regardless of the weather. One day you will find yourselves finished and not be able to handle the idle time. Take up fishing and expanding the garden. , What ever you decide to do I know it will be done to perfection. Stay well.

The attention to detail is impressive, pre drilling all the holes, properly putting fasteners in the valley, and taking steps to not cut the house wrap...great job . Nice work upgrading the fasteners to last as long as the roof. Damn that is a steep roof!

This has been an amazing journey to say the least! I worked in the masonry business and spent a lot of time working from scaffolding which is ironic because I am not a fan of heights! I don't know how a lift would have helped you, even a telehandler with a manlift would only get you to the roof. Then you would have had to tether a 30' piece of sheet metal up there. I think the way you guys did it was the only way and that took more than motivation and drive! Hats off!

As others have said, watching you up that high on that ladder with the bend in it and heavy clothing and stretching/reaching...OMG I was cringing so often. Glad you got it done and that is one fine roof. It makes me smile when I see you being meticulous in your building approach and have watched other channels where people are looking at buying existing homes in AK and when they look at them they are all thrown together (with whatever was lying around) shoddy messes. I guess hardly anybody there has any income to put up decent homes with the right materials. Either that or they just don't care. Glad you are doing it right. Makes my OCD brain relax. I've even seen people on channels put in doors (and windows) in warmer, wetter climates and not put as much thought and weather proofing in as you have with your doors. I agree with your do it once, long term approach. Spend more time and effort now (and money on good materials) vs spending it again (and again) later.
