This is a great channel because it isn't pretentious with click bait headlines. They just get on, get it done with no fuss. They do justify and deserve higher subscriber numbers. This will be one very impressive and unusual cabin when it is finished.

Of all the Alaskan Cabin content creator couples on KZbin you guys are the best. You work well as a team and as individuals doing your part. Your knowledge and techniques are sound, well reasoned, and your workmanship is superb. This structure will be amazing when its done! Best wishes to you both, subscribed!

I like that while he is not slow, he takes his time and does each task deliberately. And when there are options he chooses the stronger one even if its a bit more expensive. This is going to be a very well-built and strong house.

Hi, I live up in North Pole, east of Fairbanks and have enjoyed watching you build from the start. I am a 74 year old senior who has built a small home and several log cabins on my trapline and can very much appreciate all your hard work. I also know the uneasiness of working at the top of an extension ladder. In a pretty horrific accident I slid off a 20+ foot high roof and broke my neck and back but was pieced back together with titanium and am outwardly, good as new. I was not wearing a falling harness as you are wisely using. My best wishes for you and I will keep you in my prayers. God bless you both. Dave S from up north

Just a helpful trick, take two 2×4s and a pice of osb the same length and sandwich the osb in the middle. Rip the osb so the width is half inch short and put it together. You can then use that to hold the end of the osb after you start the cut. It will hold that end while you finish the cut and not bend your saw blade and act as a 3rd hand. Great job, guys.

Love watching the build progress, you two both do great work and I can tell you must do a lot of planning and research . Make sure when you’re finished ( endless jobs I know) to relax for a bit . And I know you get lots of tips and advice and watching you build I think I would invest in some used scaffolding it will always be useful strong and can be used as shelving or packed away. Get your mates or family that work in construction to start looking out for cheap stuff and tell them if they drive up can stay if they bring some with them .😅

A wet and muddy dog deserves cuddles and kisses. By someone else though! I used to install free standing 68' towers. No safety equipment. Looking back I should have had my head examined. Watching you go up the shaky ladder and deciding it was not safe is a good example to ALL watching. "Never risk it". I rarely watch any videos all the way through, but your videos I find very well done and really interesting. Take care and please stay safe. PS: Pat on the head for the pup, please.

Amazing progress on your cabin. I hope you are able to get it al dried in before the snow flies. Working on the upper portion of the end walls is risky business. Such wonderful teamwork, and I’m really impressed how carefully you guys really work together. And I think it’s also wonderful that you take a lot of security measures to keep both of you Secure and safe. Like so many people are saying, and it’s also clear to see how much effort that you put into building is wonderful and beautiful A-frame. I myself had the dream to do what you are doing but very unfortunately, my wife died and not long after that I had to have a liver transplant because of a nasty virus that slowly destroy my liver. So, watching your videos is very fulfilling at least to watch a Beautiful couple fulfill through you and your wife, my dream. I pray for you both for strength, and that God keeps his hand over you. Take good care. God bless my friends. Perhaps, if you and your wife decide to go to Europe, maybe you could stop in and visit me here in Wiesbaden Germany I really wish it could be the other way around that I could come to Alaska and come and visit you but I guess for me, that will have to remain a pipe dream. So stay safe because you know as well as I do safety and patience should always come first. 🙏👋🥰🌻😉

I've painted and done construction that high on a ladder...your legs get a little rubbery. Also, from the ground it never looks as high as when you're on a ladder 😂 Chris, when you use the router remember that you want to conventional cut verses climb cutting. Climb cutting pulls the router forward in chunks rather than the smooth flow of conventional cutting. You'll notice it's harder on you and the tool when you climb cut. Go up from the bottom or down from the top to accomplish that. Nice job as usual!
