I am so glad to have found you! Moving to somewhere near where you are in 2025; making my "scouting trip" in Jan-Feb. I think I want to do exactly what you are doing; find something small, in need of renovation but livable, and go with it! Maybe a gite or AirBnB first, to get my footing. Y'all had a few years as caretakers to do that. Can't wait to see your home as this all progresses! Bonne chance!

Would you at some stage think about telling us how you found your property and how much you paid - perfect size for us! Also did living in France previously enable you to gain residency, re Brexit?

Have you thought about running lighting etc at 12v?

The house is currently wired for 12v lighting. Electricity will be covered in a future video, once we've worked out what to do with it.

Yes, all three kittens are with us. Our replacements at the château decided they didn't want to look after them after all.

The kittens are back in England now. Sadly, Silver has vanished. We're hoping she's found somewhere quieter to live than with my daughter and her two girls.
