Off grid life on the homestead in winter and not giving up regular lifestyle

Thinking of going off grid? What is it like in the winter? We have 2 full size refrigerators, 3 small freezers, TV, surround sound, and a comfortable home. We do heat the water and stove via propane. Home is wood heated. Our solar system is a 24 panel (10.92 KW) system with an 18.0KWH PWRcell (6 batteries) powering our house and outbuildings.
we still think this is one of the best usages of our hard earned money.
