OFF GRID LIVING - A PEEK INSIDE MY BUNKIE CABIN BEDROOM | BEST MINI WOOD STOVE for Tiny Houses, Boats, and RV's | Hazelnut & Almond Fruit Trees in the Orchard - Ep. 129 - Ep. 129 • OFF GRID LIVING - My B...
We have now converted our new Bunkie Mini Cabin into an off grid bedroom in the wilderness! Our Yurt is next door and will still be our kitchen, living room, eating area, office, and entertainment structure. This new cabin bedroom will allow us to have another apartment in which to live and this wood fired mini wood stove from Cubic Mini Wood Stove has made our Bunkie Cabin come alive! Wood Stoves are amazing....like a beating heart and soul of a structure. We are blessed with the most magical and changing weather we have ever encountered and cook an amazing Indian Curry with Chapati bread using our outdoor wood fired wok stove! We also begin planting fruit trees in our orchard (Hazelnut, Almond, and Ginko Biloba Trees). Stay tuned to see our garden and orchard unfold and to see us connect the Bunkie Cabin to the Yurt with glass bottles and Cob!

This fire pit is one of a few covered pits that is on the list kzbin.infoUgkxAU9pOCSV9Y5JprooHvfxTpOrt4hx8uRM of approved products for Disney Fort Wilderness. The product served its purpose well and provided excellent fires throughout the evening. We were able to open the door and do s'mores, but I had to be careful because the handle was a bit hot on occasions. Additionally, I wish they had replaced some of the standard nuts with lock nuts in some places. We lost the door handle after just a couple of days of usage. Not a deal breaker, just a recommendation. I still give it 5 stars.

I don't remember how I stumbled onto your KZbin channel but it's been at least a year. I got hooked while you were assembling your Yurt, and now you've got a "bunkie". I have lived in major U.S. cities all my life and live vicariously through you guys. I'm amazed at all you've accomplished in such a short window of time. You guys work so hard, are so disciplined, in touch with the earth and Mother nature itself, it just blows me away. I'm so very proud of both of you for building a life completely on your terms and conditions. Most importantly, I'm just gobsmacked with your total devotion to and love for each other. You guys are true pioneers and I have no doubt there will be historical records of your life and times for ages to come. God richly bless and watch over you both as you move forward in the "off grid lifestyle. Just a side note...........with all the wildlife at almost arms reach, the major alteration I would make in my approach to off grid living would definitely include meat. Just sayin eh !

Cutting your own lumber like that the size of what you put up on the roof, it may look like you were struggling a bit to pick it up, but unless you have lifted a fresh plank like that then you would not understand how heavy it is when just cut like that! Lumber at the store has been dried and whatever treatment stuff they do so the difference is fairly large between the two. That room is so pretty!! The raw wood like that is amazing!!

This video seemed really fake. Dedicated to the basic lifestyle? Wishing to make his own gas comment yet no hens or anything for food source?? My husband burst out laughing when he called her baby cakes. He said they’re the worse fakers he’s ever seen and are both bullshitters. It’s a lot of hidden agenda here - and being a cop, he can spot things quick- he said someone should pay them a visit on their hidden agenda (?🤷‍♀️) I asked but we don’t watch these two .. came up on the list so he watched. I stopped watching when Nicole started with the sticking out her star. I didn’t think she was so into herself like that. I unsubscribed a LONG time ago.

I believe it's an old swamp area they bought? So the trees have been there for a very long time. "Hun, I'm going to build another room for you", "Did you clean the swamp out yet?", "Hun, I'm going to plant some food for us so we don't starve for winter!". "Did you clean out the swamp yet?" -- prioritizing I think ♥

They talked about clearing the swamp a few videos back and it’s a gradual process as more beds are built the rotting wood will be cleared to fill them. It’s doesn’t make sense to move it twice just to tidy up.

It's called sleet. Warmer air above a layer of colder air produces rain, and it falls through the cold layer below freezing before it hits the ground. Rain, sleet, snow is normal to see all at the same time. Hail is associated with thunderstorms where rain rises in updrafts and collects more ice from supercooled water, collects on the "ball," and finally falls because the weight is too much for the updraft. You two are VERY industrious. Incredibly creative!

I'm just throwing this out there, but if you two built a couple of guest cabins you could probably make some residual income by hosting vacationers. Seems like a quiet stress free place to hide out and decompress over a weekend or so.

Mail man won’t deliver check to wooden mail box surrounded by bears. I don’t think the windows or door will holdup to a hunger grizzly as the cat hides, dogs are gone and the chainsaw is your last defender. Unless the hidden wood basement works and door holds 2,000 lbs. of pressure, pushing the basement door in. Famous last words “Should have used more wood to make the door heavier!”

Awesome location & Craftsmanship! Although it appears more convenient how it is currently installed in this video, I'm thinking the reason most put stove on floor is because heat rises, which would more efficiently warm the floor & lower areas of the bunk house. I'm sure it would be easy to experiment with this theory... Cheers

A wood stove never heats anything below it. Therefore, the best place to put it is as near to the floor as possible.

@@marcusskidmore6913 Technically, you are correct, because left to its own work, it would heat the air above it to the point that the air above it could heat the air below it by radiation, but it would be a very slow process. @triumphmanful. A fan helps. I use an electric fan, blowing straight upward to mix cold floor air with hot ceiling air. That works exceedingly well. If you have no electricity, there are heat driven fans but they barely make a difference. I think they are mostly psychological.
