Dedan was a great first boss for this game. It immediately started off the game with it's vibrant personality that we don't see a lot of villians and characters in general using. It was a cool character idea, and his personality really fit his role and the world he had ruled. Plus the maze leading up to it was a good puzzle as well.

and he was so cartoonishly evil on first glance, that the player would have no regret in killing him, in fact, all of the guardians have a trait that makes the player think they're doing good (Japhet wanted to die, and Enoch was just an egomaniac with terrible intentions for his workers), and if the player never revisited the purified zones, they might even think they're helping everyone

@@Mate_Antal_Zoltan It's actually pretty impressive that Mortis wrote him with as much nuance as he did while accomplishing making him come off so simplistically at the beginning. Once you learn more about Hugo and the guardians' backstories, his scenes of belligerence feel different when viewed in retrospect. While by no means a good person, he's not just an abusive and angry boss anymore; he's a man who's living the frustration of his life's work falling apart and his workforce being too weak to do anything about it.

I can't believe I overlooked this song when I first played OFF... I just did the maze through trial-and-error (I wrote down the correct combination in my notes app) and didn't even realize it was one of those Lost Woods-type puzzles where you know you're going the right way when the music gets louder, I thought it was an audio glitch

I remember I had a snippet of some song stuck in my head months ago and I REALLY didn't recall hearing it from anywhere. I now know that it was 0:40 of this song that had been stuck in my head. Fun idea A sort of hide and seek thing, but the seeker is wearing headphones and the hider has the volume controls.
