Excited as we are to go camping with mates at Drumclog Off Road center in central Scotland for a weekend of Off-Road adventures campfires and a good catch up with some mates that we have not seen in forever and to think this all very nearly didn't happen.. How good is this!!

I know that sense of relief when you get some repairs done and don't miss out on your fun plans. An amazing feeling! Get another turbo lined up though, that one sounds a bit suspect.

Yes it was so good to actually make it when we really didn't think it would happen 😁 something will be done with the turbo for sure 👍👍

Be sure to get another turbo on order. I would not trust a turbo that is that rough to last long. Spring for a ball bearing turbo if you can afford it, they are more resilient to oil starvation if something catastrophic happens, or on steep inclines

Yes the plan is to get it changed as she's off the road for a little bit.. hope to get something not drastically expensive not sure where to go just yet. Thanks for the information on what works. Please let me know if you have any leads on a good one 👍

Our pajero blew a turbo after a 2000km drive from Edinburgh to Geilo in Norway. Filled the pristine valley with black smoke and an oil stain in the snow all the way back down to Ål. Got a heft disposal fine from the Norwegians as we couldn't find a second hand replacement. Ace trip though

They better check and understand the SUV's limitations to avoid stucking in the mud. Consider replaced the tires with an offroad better traction.

Great to see you got the Turbo fixed and back on the road. I have a white 1991 Montero basically stock with 3.0 V6 and manual transmission. US version of Molly. Built drawer system that works as sleeping platform. Traveling to Riga next week for a week of training, any tips?
