Just sold our Wolf Pup 18TO (yesterday!) to move up to a bunkhouse... sure wished I'd seen this when we shopped for the Wolf Pup 2 years ago! Love the layout! It gives you the couch and you still have the bunks- and don't need to move anything to have the bunks!! Awesome! And storage they've squeezed in! Neat machine! Those tables are super cool! Cup holders! Oh an it is needed! Curtains for the front bed is great! I'd have bought that instead of the Wolf Pup 18TO, we're a family of 5- so this Jayco is very Very ideal. We want the u-dinette.. and that is a big one! The fan is great, the Wolf Pup only had a fan in the bathroom. Love the deep drawers! This is what the 18TO should have been! Jayco saw that too! A window in the bathroom for added natural light is a nice touch- frosted glass or window film that gives the frosted appearance is an easy fix. The toilet is has leg room! I'm getting misty eyed Josh! And... oh I'm gonna cry- you can use the entire camper with the slide in!?!?! Culture shock coming out of the 18TO! Soooo much! I'd get this as a replacement for our Wolf Pup! 3 steps!! A ladder! Sell it to me! LoL a thick piece of foam can fix the griddle movement issue. Lights in the front bay... on the dinette bay? The sewer pipes are not under the slide! 1 of those engineers must have been a camper! LoL and there's 2 roof vents?? WoW

I got around to watching some of your older videos and spotted this trailer. Love the solar package, double bunks, no carpet, Murphy bed. It’s exactly what I have been looking for in a small family trailer. For road trips for my girls and myself. You do a great job of showing the interiors of the RVs you feature. A lot of other guys that do the RV videos go in to a lot of detail showing the exterior. I get that it’s important to see those features but sometimes they do sooooo much detail outside that I swear my eyes roll back in my head and they lose me. Your videos are balanced and I really appreciate that. The only suggestion for this trailer is maybe put in some flip up counter space or make the drawer under the stove top a pull out countertop.

We've got the Starcraft version of this very trailer. The cargo carrying capacity is a bit light on ours at 887 lbs. Considering that this is intended to be used by a family of 4 or so, I think that payload is way too low. Filling up your fresh water tank will use nearly half of the available payload. I see a number of comments about using dual axles. My opinion is in opposition for that choice for the following reasons. 1) adds additional weight and cost. 2) eats into usable interior space for fender wells 3) not necessary because higher capacity tires and axles readily available. 4) single axle helps with close quarters maneuvering. And finally, the problem with wanting 2 axles is most people who are looking for 2 axles are at the end of the day, really just wanting a bigger trailer. So they should just look at a bigger trailer. For those referring to security of two axles due to flat tires, your still stopping to fix it anyway. Dual axles may help some in the ride category.

The only thing stopping us from adding this to our list is the East/West Murphy bed. As road warriors, we don't need the crash bars (LOL) around the trailer or the heavy-duty roof ladder. Other than that, it's great. The slide is nearly flat to the floor, with lots of storage, compressor fridge, and u-shape dinette. I like this better than the Coachmen Apex Nano 208BHS because of the low slide floor and the U-dinette. I'd rather have the microwave down low and storage space above, and because small coaches like this can't/don't have ducted A/C the Coleman Mach10 NDQ should be standard in these units. It's a small space. As always, thank you, and keep up the great work. And congratulations on 100k subs!

Seems like they could have a little sink there in the outdoor kitchen instead of the fridge, or find a way to squeeze both in there. We use the sink in our outdoor kitchen way more than the fridge.

As a first time buyer that’s the trailer I want to buy. I’ve seen a lot of other trailer videos. Just can’t go wrong with this trailer. As you showed it that’s exactly how I would buy it.

Thanks for the walkthrough Josh! I just showed this one to my husband and we are definitely intrigued. I love all of the pumped-up features in a small-sized trailer. There are definite trade-offs to be considered, but that is to be expected in a smaller model. One of my biggest concerns is the couch- I understand it has to be thin and small for versatility but it looks to be about as comfortable as a waiting room seat- i wish it were a little more padded on the back somehow to allow for a less slippery feel. Thanks again!

Appreciate you understanding the give and take of this kind of camper. Not everyone does nor do they really seem interested in understanding.. just.. yelling lol

I prefer the bunks. Use it for visiting great nieces, convert lower level to kennel when I can't take my dog with me, and when traveling, use it for bikes or ebikes. Prefer something more versatile for utable, and TV is awkward for Murphy couch. I would move it to in front of cabinets with a hinge to swing it around at different angles and move microwave to below stove to make room for TV. But very very close to favorite floor plan.

Another awesome demonstration of Jayco Products. Josh going the extra mile..and I think...that's pretty cool.

Perfect size but dump the bunk bed's for a small mobile Office. Must have cell booster, have to stay connected.

Great layout! Outdoor kitchen at this size is rare…..But 4700lbs dry on a single axle! I wouldn’t feel comfortable taking a road trip. That’s the only reason I prefer Micro Minnies! Been watching your channel for a while now! Congrats!

Love the look at this camper! The storage spot for the folding table is great. I am looking mostly at the smaller rigs due to storage constraints and this one may have enough storage to make my wife happy as that is her biggest issue with the smaller campers. One thing I would like to see from Jayco on this line is a no-slide double bunk model. Wildwood has the 179DBK and I know that it has the smaller bench dinette but with Jayco having those cupholder tables and the folding table options it gives a place for us adults to eat (on a rainy day) and keep the kids at the table! I also like campsite windows that flipping the table over allows, if Jayco was still not happy with the room, a small slide for the kitchen similar to E19FDS E-Pro is something I am sure Jayco could excel at. Thank you Josh for putting this together, hopefully, I will be able to see one at next week's RV show in Pittsburgh (pending no postponement... again).

That 19FDS's slide is a love/hate thing with me. I get that it opens up some living space. But it also prevents full travel access and actually reduces kitchen storage

I'm liking the shower door, versus just a curtain without the frame. Not sure I've seen this done before.

It's rare in a smaller camper But that's the thing -- this is made with FEATURES in mind Not weight/price first.

I Love The Lay Out & Packages Offered On This Model, But IMO, It Needs Dual Axles & A Rear Entry Door. And She'd Be Perfect. Bottom Bunk Already Flips Up Out The Way & It's Just Big Enough For Kayaks, Canoe, Bikes, Etc. And Congrats On 100K!!! Love The Videos Man!!!

Yes to the gas oven. This trailer is built for off grid so an oven would be more convenient than a microwave. Instead of an a/c fridge in the camp kitchen I'd like to see a small 12 volt fridge like the one you reviewed a while back.

I m not in the market for a BH but if I was thus model would definitely be at the top of my list. Jayco has hit a homerun with this series of RV. Thanks again Josh for your commitment to your industry and keeping us entertained. 🇺🇸

That's a great floor plan, Josh. Similar to the 2509s Rockwood without the annoying L shaped kitchen. Improvements: 1: dual axles 2: rear loading door for underbed storage PLEASE tell rockwood Geopro to make this floor! plan!
@JoshtheRVNerd3 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure geo can. Their slightly more narrow body might prevent the double bunks Their 20BHS is pretty close though: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fomsd2WFnKylsLM

The bottom bunk I would cut the angled part out an put my dog crate there,that way you still have a double bunk on bottom with a small section gone that way at night you can put your pup pup in its crate or go go with a single bunk on bottom that way you can put the crate against the back wall an still leaves room to get out of the bottom bunk

I wish the awning covered more of the grilling space. Or they put another mounting spot for the grill
@JoshtheRVNerd3 жыл бұрын
There's nothing that really says that's the only place you have to use it thankfully. A little longer propane hose & portable table allows you to set it wherever you please. The grill still comes with rubber "feet" so you can move it around!

I'd LOVE one of those cargo doors on the back, but I don't believe it's possible on this one due to the ladder & water heater occupying those positions
@charlenestone35642 жыл бұрын
I wish it had a 22inch oven. 18 inch are for pizza or cookies. The 22 inch you can do a lot more with. This boondocker wants the gas oven over a convection/microwave.

Not the biggest fan of a folding mattress but not a deal breaker. Would love a sink in the outdoor kitchen.
