Beautiful truck David! Those wheel scratches are common for anybody who actually wheels with their truck. You can't really avoid it. Some wheel styles are better designed to make it harder to scratch but it's still going to happen. As far as hitting your lower control arms and shock tower, you can probably find aftermarket skid plate options for those and yes line selection matters when going over obstacles. As long as you didn't bend them you're fine!

The literal first thing I'm doing with mine is tinting the front driver and passenger windows, BUT THEN wheels are it. I HATE the factory wheels. Their heavy and not made well for off-roading. I'm gonna put on some Methods with +35 offset to save the wheel from things like this lol. Eventually when i put on a new baja style offroad bumper, i plan on chopping the crash bars well so i can run true 33s and upgrade to Toyo Open Country AT III 33x12.5. Its not a BIG difference but that almost half an inch is going to push the ground clearance over 11" without having to raise/lvl the truck.

Same ding from hells revenge. Think it is a transmission support brace. That and the skid plate is the only damage I got just not as bad a hit on mine

Glad you got out with just minor scratches. A little sandpaper and flat black spray paint and you're good to go, and now you've got the first damage behind you so the next damage will hurt less. I wonder if anyone is making gas tank skid plates for these?

I think Ford Performance intended for the Ranger Raptor to be a desert / dune runner first and a dirt / mud trail runner second. The rock / water trail you were on made a good video, but I don’t think I would subject my new truck to that. You got nerves of steel. Maybe you can get that wheel repainted. Probably $1K+ for a new one.

Totally agree! The bronco is the rock crawler. I've never been able to hit these trails owning a gen 2 raptor and gen 1 raptor. Atleast it fit! I'll be going after market wheels/tires but definitely sucks banging this truck up the first month of ownership...

After smashing the wheel 5 minutes into the trail I almost bailed man.. but glad I did. I think it was an epic trail and got some cool videos / pictures. I haven't noticed anything but in paranoid. Thank goodness for warranty

@@DavidFigs I hear you there. I give you credit... I probably would have not tackled it but definitely looked amazing. I'm so OCD over everything and seeing my new ride damaged would be driving me crazy. I get they are an offroad truck though and meant to be driven. Keep up the content brother👊

What a joke of a video. This is normal wear and tear for off roading, if you don’t like or want that happening then don’t go. And no airing down wasn’t a cause to that, the truck is going to bounce and flex more than the height loss of airing down, going from your 32.5 inch tire down to 31’s like you claim is only a height loss if accurate of 3/4 of an inch not much to make the difference.
