Off-Roading on the Pan America! Touratexas Adventure Rally

I took the Pan America to my first adventure motorcycle rally, the Touratexas Adventure Rally, a three-day motorcycle camping event hosted by Austin Adventure Moto in Burnet, TX. From obstacle courses to trail rides and live seminars, it offered a great all-around experience, and I can't wait for next year!

Raise the shifter a little. Pretty easy to do. That’s what I had to do to get my ADV boot toe underneath.

To be BDR ready you’re gonna need a better tire than the stocker. It’s an amazing tire in every condition except mud, sand and rocks. Keep the content coming!

Yeah 100% agree, that tire can’t handle the tougher conditions. Mostly likely going to switch tires next time I get the bike serviced. Thanks! I appreciate it!

It was great and had a blast! I just follow a lot of the local dealerships and adventure companies on instagram and they’ll usually post events. Also in a few Facebook groups for adv riding in my area.

Nice video, now you have access to a whole other part of central texas. Unfortunately most of it is privately owned : ( Did the rally give you more confidence in your adv riding ability? What valuable lessons did you take away from the experience?

Thanks! Yeah I was able to ride some new terrain and get used to the bike off road which helped my confidence a lot. New tires are a must though if I want to keep doing off road rides. All around it was a great event.

Michlins..schorcters..I have them on my 23 PAS.no way I would ride that terrain on them skins..good luck keeping it up right..!

Yeah I definitely need to switch to a more off road tire asap. The scorchers aren’t cutting it.

Thanks! Yeah they are the Barkbusters with the storm guards. I got them from 3dcycleparts.com with the powder coat option so they’re a textured black instead of the raw aluminum.
