I just bought my first dual sport in Bergen country and I’m dying for a simple trail I can ride right to from home. Is this place in Mahwah legal? Or would I have any trouble riding around here if I’m not too loud or anything?

Andrew K I’m sure it’s not technically... but I always speak to the locals when I go out and they say cops don’t bother at all. It’s a bit rocky in most places but such a massive trail network you’ll definitely find nice sections

There is precedent of groups (jeep clubs etc) sponsoring a trail to keep it open for safe and responsible use. I heard Stag Hill and trails in Stokes used to be legal 4x4 trails, although I’m not too familiar with Stokes State Forest. I would love to see this happen at Stag Hill

We are going next Sunday morning 8/23/20. I’ve been there a few times to the left of stag hill. Where was your entry point for this trail in particular? Looks awesome. Thanks

So the big trail out there is Christmas tree. If you enter through the residential side keep flowing as seen in the video and it’s going to be just passed the valley. Christmas tree is steep but awesome views when you get to the top! Enjoy!
