While responding to whether Pariyerum Perumal would get the same diluted treatment in its Hindi remake as Sairat, Mr.Karan beats around the bush with phrases like “the core conflict,” “hard-hitting,” “we are never holding back” and “solid”. He manages to avoid the actual ‘caste’ conflict in all that verbal footwork under the pretext of refraining from giving spoilers. It is as if saying that word would be too much of a spoiler! Again, Kudos to Mr. Ranjith for spelling it out as he always does and for calling on the significance of addressing it as a national concern and not as something prevalent in only one state of India. Mr. Karan's ‘diplomatic tap dance’ already hints at what we can expect from Dhadak 2 (Pariyerum Perumal in Hindi). One among those would be the iconic tea glasses from the last scene getting an upgrade-Starbucks cups, probably!

Congrats to THR in India. I have a suggestion - if you have a multi-lingual panel you should provide your panelists with real time translation head-sets. It's not the same when another panelist translates. It increases accessibility, also for the panelist who is listening to the rest of the conversation in English. When we watch it we can read the captions real time or maybe have an audio channel to switch to. All the best!

What a roundtable, One of the best moment: although Karan is experimenting and has an open mind he has made mistakes and he doesn’t shy away or brush it off to Anupama or anyone, the want and basic feeling of I can or could’ve done better is the need for any cinema, Anupama called out that Sairat was diluted in translation to dhadak and asked if the upcoming remake would do the same, there was no shosha, we need more people like Anupama who asks the right questions and most definitely more power to directors like these 5 and more to come, I hope we seeee the change across all cinema and veryyyy mostlyyyyyy the Bollywood which feels like almost dead, dated, narrow and shallow, there are apparently big films coming in the final months from Hindi industry, honestly none of them feels exciting or interesting, I bet 70% are not even considering to watch them, Jigraaa by alia Bhatt is the only film which I think looks interesting, more power to stree 2 which actually made more than what Karan said 600 cr., I’m still shocked it beat the likes of jawan, felt amazing, also Anupama and Hollywood reporter, thank you and subscribed
