You didn't have to pitch them up. The vocals in Splatoon aren't pitched up

Actually they are pitched up slightly in formant. It’s what helps them be differentiated from humans very subtly, it’s only since the side order era where OTH’s vocal mixing hasn’t had the same production quality anymore (I don’t work like that) the only most notable is the Squid Sisters who are boosted by 2 semitones, OTH is in between 0 and 2 range (as of S2 vocals, which i strive to mimic a lot more)
