I had a similar experience to Joe. One of my employee lost one of his AirPod. I offered to buy him a replacement. One week later, he told me he found another job and quit. Six months later, he applied for unemployment and claimed I fired him. He literally only worked for me for 2 weeks. 😑

One of my jobs has many different walks of life. I've been burned in the past but I won't let it change who I am. I will keep on giving a helping hand. Recently I have been helping homeless. When my friend's youngest son was little, I babysat him overnight so they could go to a concert. Her now ex-bf thought that meant I would be so generous as to watch their youngest son again, overnight, when he wanted them to go to another concert by the same band(Genesis), out of state. I helped babysit my sister n law and her bf's daughter. I found out from my son they were talking shit behind my back about not watching their kid good. Her bf accused me of not feeding his daughter, sleeping while she was up by herself, which was a big fat lie, and accused my autistic daughter of saying she hates his daughter. I personally confronted him about it and he didn't want to say anything because his accusations was all bullishit. My sister n law yelled at my son for telling me their shit talking behind my back. Till this day, I never want to watch their kid again. What they did was a slap in the face. I did it out love for the kid and that's how they thank me.

Next time around, he might just try to accuse me of touching his daughter. Fucc that shit. Those are some of fucked up people I tell you. My sister n law is my wife's little sister. My wife told that they even got her bf's mother evicted from her home. Now, the bf and his mom has no more relationship ties with each other, at all.

I've noticed that unfortunately I've become jaded and distrustful of people over the years.
