One of my favorite stories to tell is how me and my best friend met in college in 2013. We were in an online art history class and for the longest time I thought she was a black man due to the way her name was spelled. Her name is Kahli ( KAY-LEE), but my dumbass thought it was an African name because in my head I pronounced in KAH-LEE. We never met face to face until my bf at the time introduced us and realized we had the same class together. The first words that came out my mouth when I realized who she was " OH! You're white?" 😂 She busted into tears and we've been best friends for 10 years now
