Mmmmm....Bank Line stew!! A firm favourite of mine too!😂 Dan, you are always funny! but more importantly, you have wonderful enthusiasm and are a natural, expert teacher. I know; I just retired after 34 years as a teacher, partly working with RAF cadets here in the UK and teaching basic bushcraft and survival in the woods. Love this system. I have faffed about with designs like this for several uses but so far, I have not cooked a meal off one. Must try it! 😊👍🏻

I like it, Dan. With a little engineering and kajiggering, that could also be used as an adjustable-height prep-table or, if sufficiently robust, a camp chair.

Спасибо , Дэн за твои ролики))) Кому то они точно пригодятся )) Сам по себе вариант интересный - ради спортивного интереса и разнообразия можно будет такой сделать в ближайшие выходные .

I really appreciate your videos, and I know it takes time to make them. With that being said, we love the payoff. A lot of your videos fail to show the contraption in actual use. Finishing this showing making some coffee or something like that would make this video better.

Hello. I saw a picture of my grandfather wearing boots like yours when he was a lumberjack in the far north of Canada. My grandfather is a role model for me. He has been dead for too many years. I would like to know the brand of your boots, the tan leather with a rubber sole, I can not find the video in which you mentioned the brand and I hope to get it. Thank you in advance

Dan trying to reinvent the wheel again. Any 'Bushcrafter' that knows his salt would know that this system is based on the Gibbet Aures Campfire Crane. The crane is named after Victor Aures, a Scout Master from Buffalo, NY. There is a good article on this from an issue of the Boy’s Life from 1915. The system is also depicted in Horace Kephart's Book Camp-lore and Woodcraft. I say based, as in the original, Dan's vertical stick is not necessary as you lash two Y sticks end to end for the diagonal support.
