Good tutorial. The pdf that comes with the design is not correct in the steps that are actually sewn. Also, in the video & pdf you never mention how/when to close the lining hole.

Before turning the bag completely right side out you would either sew the bottom closed with a sewing machine, by hand, or use double sided permanent tape. After that step you then turn the bag right side out. She must have done the sewing step off video.

I am trying to figure out why do a double turn, why not run a complete stitch around and turn it once thru the zipper?

No, it's a double sided tape that's already sticky. No heat needed.
