@@jonathanhimes4783 going from the worst defender since adam dunn to having a genuinely good defender in left field has been so relieving. before when a ball got hit into left you just had to hope schwarber didnt have to take more than like 10 steps to get it lol. now weve got marsh in left and rojas at center who wouldnt be there if schwarber or harper were still in left. so harper at first (as well as bohm playing an average third defensively this year, huge improvement too), has completely transformed the defense. even more so since got rid of hoskins (and though i liked him he plays dreadful defense) for harper whos a geniunely good first baseman. he hasnt been a "chuck the bad defender at first" like you usually see with these kinds of late career transitions this used to be a team made up almost entirely of designated hitters, but now its a team that mostly plays good defense. combine that with the phillies being 4th in the league in steals the phillies are just a complete squad. awesome rotation, elite bullpen, phenomenal hitting, underrated base stealing and an above average defense makes me pretty confident that the phillies are gonna be able to at least keep their heads above water for a while, which we havent seen them do in a while its a good time to be a phillies fan

Boy, that loss in the NLCS is one huge chip on their shoulders. I hope it continues to fuel the fire. The Phils are just playing lights out...outstanding in all phases of the game...and they are 13-3 without Trea Turner...I knew that they would be one of the better teams in the NL, but I did not see this coming...this has a chance to be the greatest season in team history. This years eagles were winning but every game was sloppy and we could have lost almost every game we won . It was clear something wasn’t right from the beginning. Walker is no good, Turnbull should have never been taken out of the rotation. Now the pen is not fresh, not to mention he was having every bit as good a season of any of the starters. And it won't be as easy as just putting him back in when Walker starts getting clobbered, as usual, and judging by what I've seen it won't be long. Major mistake, he earned that spot, not the bum.
