He doesn't care about treats, the spray bottle, validation, a pop over the head, etc. mf just goes ballistic. I've tried everything, and these dog training videos just seem too easy imo because everything he shows in these videos is something I've tried before and failed with.

@@2GoatsInATrenchCoat are you marking the behaviour prior to giving reward? It's all about timing and consistency. Sounds simple but it's not it takes practice . "Mike Ellis' philosophy of dog training" is a great video to explain this , and I don't want to take anything away from this guy because he's excellent from what I see in this video . Also all dogs are different so you need to try different techniques. I'm a huge fan of pinch collars , used correctly you can correct "most" dogs with just holding lead with thumb and forefinger . Hope this helps 👍🏻

@@2GoatsInATrenchCoat absolutely no problem my friend . If I can help further let me know . Good luck 🤞. Oh a marker is the "yes" or whatever you want , banana, giraffe or a good ole fashion clicker (from horse training) or whatever, its the tone the dog hears that indicates its about to receive a reward . Timing of the "mark" is crucial, handing the reward over isn't. Its been proved that the reward needs to arrive within .4 of a second which is almost impossible if the dog is right by you're side never mind at a distance hence the "mark" becomes the reward . Changed the way I trained 12 yrs ago , I was yank and crank and always got there in the end , this technique changed mine and my dogs lives . I work Rotties as handler protection dogs for a living.

From what I know, you should walk them separately until the problem’s fixed. You could try the redirect that she said didn’t work but instead of walking away, turn around and keep walking until the dog stops, give praise and then turn around and continue what you were doing, just stop and redirect until the dog stops reacting and if that doesn’t work figure out what your dog loves bring it on the walk and use it to get their attention when they act up. Alternatively you could try methods to keep the dog’s attention on you, the reason the trainer in the video got through is because something unexpected happened when the dog was doing something and it needed to process that instead of what it was going after

This does not require a dog to already be trained. That dog may not know what "leave it" means and this is how you teach it.
